| Select Optical was founded in 1961. Today, Select Optical is one of the largest full service optical laboratories in the state of Ohio. Our 23,000 sq. ft. facility is located in the north end of Columbus and fills more than 6,000 Rx's every week. Our state of the art laboratory and staff of 90 skilled employees provide our customers with quality lenses and eyeglasses in all materials (CR-39, polycarbonate, high index and glass) in a timely fashion.
Along with serving ophthalmologists, optometrists, opticians and grinding laboratories, we also have a large contract business supplying eyeglasses for state eyeglass programs and most of the leading health insurance carriers. Our Industrial Division provides safety and environmental glasses (computer related) to industries throughout the continental United States. |

The Select Optical management team consists of Del Lothes, Pete Lothes and Chip Lothes. Del Lothes (center) has been CEO and treasurer of the company since it's incorporation in 1972. Pete Lothes (far right), President, grew up in the business. He has been active in Select Optical for the past 14 years and is the driving force for tomorrow's business. Chip Lothes (on left), Vice President, also grew up in the business and has 24 years of experience with the company. |
